I was suppose to work this coming friday and have today off, that didnt happen... One of my co-workers wanted today off and work friday, so he switched hours without me knowing. Not like he could hide it cause the schedule is typed and the hours were written in pen. You may ask where my boss was in this? Well my boss approved it because he assumed my co-worker contacted me already and got my approval. It wasnt like I was late, found out about it a couple days ago. It must be difficult for some people to pickup the phone and call someone and find out if they would be willing to switch work days. Course he probably didnt call me because I would have said No to him. I wanted to spend New Years over at a friend of mine's house for a while atleast but instead I had to leave before anyone else was even up. (Sorry for not leaving a note or something) Great way to piss off a coworker is to go behind his back and screw him over... Gha!!! Maybe im just going to far with this but it really burns me... O yeah i ended up losing hours in the deal too. FT Current mood: Current music: Jack Greene: There Goes My Everything. umm yeah its been awhile... sorry all. As far as i know there is only one person who even looks at this thing anymore... I'm gonna start writing again in here (i think). Lets see what have I been doing as of late... o yeah! Great show I found "Lunch no Joou" "Lunch Queen" in english. Its one of the dozen J-Drama's (Japanese Drama) ive found I enjoy watching. Lets see think along the lines of... Gilmore Girls, Charmed... junk like that here in the states. Cept J-Drama's have better acting and have a story-line (heaven forbid a show here in the states would have a story-line). Lets see then there is also Gokusen Season 2, IWGP (Ikebukuro West Gate Park), and Hana Yori Dango. All great shows, i think. umm what else.. gha had a crappy day at work, ended up going home sick for about three hours til I felt good enough to go back.. stupid Taco Bell. Ooo Montgomery Gentry good song hehe, anyway.. yeah I dunno this whole thing probably makes no sense what-so-ever but hey it doesnt have to, right? hehe Night all. F.T. Current mood: Current music: Jerry Reed: East Bound and Down. Aight well, most of you out there dread the words "summer school" and i agree they arent too pleasing to my ears either but hey, its painful, time consuming, the end to a social life and fun for that matter. BUT... its over in like 4-6 weeks. Just something about ruining a perfectly good (heat, humidity, heat.. heat...) summer but what can i say i wanna get these classes over with and this is the best and fastest way to do it. so yeah Hurray im taking summer school courses. FT Aight well, as most of you already know I love the show "The Deadliest Catch" on the Discovery Channel. For those who have no idea what it is, its a documentary on Alaskan Crab Fishing in Alaska's Bering Sea, (42 people have died in the last 10 years, atleast 7 since January last year, 100% injury rate, blah blah blah). Last year starting with King Crab season in October (2005) they changed the way fishing was done. For the last 40+ years it has been "Derby Style." There is a total overall quota for the entire fleet and when the season opens 180+ boats rush out to the grounds to get as much as they can of the quota (there was no limit for any one boat). I believe the season lasted for 5 days in 2004, 20 some million lbs of Crab were caught in only 5 days. However, in October (05) The dept. of fish and game decided to Rationalize the fishing, giving each boat a set limit. So that meant that a boat could get their quota in a week or two months it didnt matter so long as they got it. Everyone understand that?! if not sry... Ok well... The problem with the rationalization is that over 1/2 the boats quit fishing and decided to sell their shares to other boats. Good side: No operating costs, no wear and tear on equipment, dont have to pay deck hands (dont work dont get paid), pure profit. Even if they sell for 30-40% of market value they are still making money. Bad Side: 500+ deck hands are now out of work because of it. They dont get paid if the skipper sells his shares. Where am i going with this... absolutely no idea... It makes sense why the Department Of Fish and Game cause it makes it safer but you could ask almost any of the skippers and they would say they miss the Derby style. Cant do nothin about it now. Great Show!!! Watch it!!! Tuesday nights on the Discovery Channel. Current mood: Current music: Please Help Me I'm Falling (Charlie Pride). |
